i rocked the race @ 1 hr 13mins 22 secs! =) ranked 889 among e gals.. and 4141 in total. -_- think total got 10000 ppl running..
tho the timing didn't reach my target @ 70mins but i'm still quite satisfied with 73mins :) an improvement of 5 mins from last year's Great Eastern Women's 10K. ok.. i think the one who run 35mins probably wore skates to complete the remaining 3k.
the run was going smoothly until i reach the last 250m. it is so near yet so far. -_- the finishing line was just ahead of me but i just couldn't get my legs to run even faster, until the last 50m. and ya, am still running like a dog. lol now i was wondering how can i slash the timing again by 3mins. such a long distance.. T_T
anyway, one interesting stuff that i've observed: all e nike runners wore nike human race shirts but most of them goes with adidas shorts and running shoe. haa, so what does it shows? many people commented that it is very difficult to run with so many participants especially when they keep blocking your way, which in turn, affect your timing. (base on my case)i would like to think otherwise. apart from viewing it as a motivation - to run pass people in order not let them block your way, the runners would actually make me control my pace so that i don't exert myself too much until i've no energy to run finish e race. i strongly believe 'you can means you can.' everybody also faces the same situation. the difference is how u see it. =) oh well, im also not in e competitive catagory so who cares, haa. im just competing with myself.

Today, i am meeting the nptkd peeps at downtown east for www, BBQ and blading session. I am supposed to leave house early for the chalet but it was raining so i decided to leave home when the rain is smaller. After some observations, the rain has got no sign of stopping hence i have some struggle on deciding whether to bring my blades. However i did bring them as the rain seem to be smaller after a while. News from the nptkd peeps says that the rain has stopped. So, i quickly grab my barang barangs to halt a cab.
A series of unfortunate events happens from here:
There are people waiting for a cab on both sides. So i walked down to a junction hoping to get a cab easier and nope, there is also another person waiting for the vehicle. Meanwhile i realise that the rain is getting heavier so i decided to walk further down to a bus stop for shelter, wait for cab and at the same time if to no avail then i can take a bus down to bukit panjang plaza taxi stand. perfect idea right? but i also realise that i dropped my ez-link card yesterday! damn. As i'm running late, i travel my way down to bpp and pray for an empty cab. know what? throughout the 10 minutes walk, all the cab that passed me are all flagged! worst still, i'm drenched for 15 minutes. What I saw was people carrying umbrellas and more people waiting along the road.
i look so pathetic (carrying a big bag, blades and drench) when i reach the taxi stand. Apparently there is a queue for taxis in a rainy day, nevermind, i stand there and wait for my turn. When i'm next in line, i gave them a call. Great, the east side started to rain again and the next moment i boarded the taxi. Another thing is, i bring blades for what? -_-
Which means, i go through all the unnecessary trouble when i can actually take my time, MRT-ing, save $21.80, not looking clumsy and stay comfortably dry. FML.
on a side note:
we still manage to www despite the rain and we definately enjoy overselves. luckily the rain stop in the late evening so BBQ is not affected. so it is still not that bad afterall. imagine it is rain + thunder, simi mah buay sai zoh. Heng la!

damn lazy to blog.. everytime when i tell myself to blog about what activity im engaging right now, i will always procrastinate it until i hav e mood. but when i hav e mood, there were too many stuffs accumulated and hence i will only update only 1 or 2 events. haha.. quite a waste.. but super lazy to upload all e photos =/

the thick thick red line is the extra route that i've run. only ran this route once for a change frm no.1. i don't knw how far is e distance for this 2 route i only know i run like a dog. lol but base on e timing, shld be ard 5 - 6km ba..

drop e sad chapter aside, let's welcome a new member to my family - Seba FR 2 skates! since i hav been skating quite regularly (almost once a week) frm months ago, i have decided to invest in a pair of skates. moreover, its 50% of e price. =X
ps: my wheels are black..
it's a free style skate that originally came with no brakes (i din install e brakes either). hence i hav to learn braking with no brakes. T_T up till now, my T-brake is only 50% successful cuz my balancing on 1 leg cannot stay long. luckily i still know how to slow myself down. well, i'm still trying to catch the technique and hopefully i can master it soon. =/
i can go forward.. considerably fast.. but i can't stop! noob.
